100 things about me

I decided to join the blogging world. I'm really not sure why. I thought I would start out with a list of 100 things about me. My sister did this on her blog a year or so ago and she challenged me to do it as well. It was interesting to me how some of the things on my list have changed. Such is life, I guess!

1. The smell, taste, texture, and anything else about bananas makes me gag and almost throw up.
2. I am always cold.
3. Chips and queso are the reasons I don't wear a bathing suit.
4. Dark chocolate is the best indulgence ever.
5. It frustrates me that I have a job I absolutely love, which unfortunately forces me to work a schedule that tends to push all my friends away. Thus my theory that nurses must be friends with nurses.
6. I don't understand why the "Christian" friends you have are often the first ones to bail one you when you really need them.
7. I love to watch movies, except scary ones because I'm a scaredy cat!
8. My nephew is the apple of my eye. I just can't get enough of the little guy!
9. My brother, Kyle, is an Air Force airman, and I'm SO SO proud of him.
10. I am extremely tender hearted and can be very emotional.
11. It takes a WHOLE lot to make me really mad.
12. School is one of my top priorities.
13. I will finish my Master's of Science in Nursing in December through Texas Tech.
14. I worry way too much.
15. I love to organize and plan.
16. I love to travel...whether it's just a weekend trip or overseas.
17. I feel that laughter is great therapy.
18. I couldn't sleep for a week after I watched The Life of David Gale.
19. I vividly remember the day my mom went into anaphylactic shock from shellfish. I was maybe 3 years old.
20.
21. I took a travel nursing assignment in New York City from November 2007 to February 2008. It was tons of fun!
22. I love taking bubble baths.
23. I will admit that when I look for a place to live, the lack of walk in closets is a deal breaker.
24. When I go to the movies, I like to get popcorn without butter, and Reese's Pieces.
25. I finally have matching bedroom furniture.
26. I could probably teach a class on how to cut wedding cake.
27. There is not a problem in the world that a new pair of shoes will not either fix or at least alleviate for a short period of time.
28. I love to watch the old cartoons I used to watch growing up, like Tom & Jerry.
29. I own the first 3 seasons of Grey's Anatomy. And I actually watch them!
30. I sweat like a man when I work out.
31. People ask my sister and I if we are twins all the time. We are not.
32. I am, for the most part, technologically challenged.
33. After I have worked for several days in a row, I have to make a concious effort not to sign RN after my name.
34. I will be in debt for the rest of my life with school loans.
35. I have been to Greece, Italy, and Ireland.
36. I was 5'9 in junior high, but never grew taller after that.
37. I have a complex that I cannot date guys shorter than me or skinnier than me.
38. I have broken my everyday Starbuck's habit.

40. I have lots of really cute, nice clothes but I usually go with a Tshirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.
41. I look through the baby section at Target everytime I go just in case I find something I need to get for my kiddos at work.
42. I get so super excited about March Madness.
43. I am going to marry Dirk Nowitzki, only he doesn't know it yet.
44. I will have no respect for you if you lie to me in any way.
45. I have higher expectations of myself than anyone else ever did.
46. I am an extreme perfectionist.
47. I love all different kinds of stationary.
48. I hate the fact that I am a hopeless romantic.
49. I don't think anyone looks good in skinny jeans, no matter how skinny you are.
50. One of the main reasons I keep my hair long is so I can get up and put it up without a hassel.

54. I enjoy running.
55. Failure is not an option in my life.

94. Don't use a condescending tone with me. Just don't do it.
95. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people leave ONE fork or ONE cup in the sink. Is it really that much more effort to put it in the dishwasher?
96. I have to make myself not buy cereal or that will seriously be all I eat.
97. I think you should have to have a degree to have children.
98. I think that in order to be a candidate for any high management position in a hospital, you should have to have been a nurse on the floor or unit so that you really understand what it's like.

100. I have learned that prayer is extremely powerful!
